Hi Phil, this looks REALLY exciting! Having been on a cruise from Singapore to Thailand, across to the Indonesian port of Belawan (near Medan), and back to Malaysia to visit Penang, KL, Malacca and back to Singapore, just 3 months ago, my husband, Peter and I, are looking forward to following your progress.   Ah fantastic. We realised a couple of weeks ago that the ferry between Penang and Sumatra has closed down and that we needed to book flights. We are getting butterflies now it is so close. This time next week we will be on our way to the airport for that first 7 hour flight.
